The art of joins: where hifz actually breaks

Hifz — Memorisation Programme · a self-paced course lesson

Ask any hafiz where they stumble: almost never inside an ayah — at the JOIN to the next one. Memorising ayah by ayah silently teaches your memory that each ayah ends with silence, so in recitation the next opening simply is not attached to anything. The fix is structural: always memorise the last words of one ayah TOGETHER WITH the first words of the next, as a single unit. The join is a thing to memorise, not a gap between things.
