Being kind and sharing

Kindness is worship too
Being kind is not something extra that good children do — it is part of being Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ said that smiling at your brother is a charity. That means a smile counts. So does helping, sharing, and moving something out of the way so nobody trips.
Sharing today
Find one thing to share today: a toy, a snack, a turn. Notice how the other person looks when you share. That feeling is what the Prophet ﷺ was teaching us to look for — not because we have to, but because it is good.
Kind words
When someone is sad, sitting with them and saying something kind helps more than we think. "Are you okay?" is enough. Muslims are asked to speak good or stay silent — so if the words would hurt, we keep them in.
EASY: sharing your snack with your best friend. Nice, and it costs you almost nothing. HARDER: sharing with someone you do not really like, or who was unkind to you yesterday. That is the one the Prophet ﷺ was known for — he was gentle with people who had thrown things at him. Try the harder one once this week and notice how different it feels from the easy one.
