The footprint is permanent-ish
Everything posted can be screenshotted, forwarded and kept, even from apps that promise it disappears. Assume anything you send could be seen by a future employer or your grandmother. That is not scaremongering; it is simply how copying works, and it cannot be undone by an app's promise.
Cyberbullying: three responses
Do not reply. SAVE the evidence with screenshots. TELL an adult and report it in the app. Replying escalates and gives the bully what they want; evidence is what lets adults and platforms act. If you see it happening to someone else, telling an adult is not telling tales, it is help.
Account security basics
A long passphrase beats a short complicated password ("correct-horse-battery-staple" beats "P@ss1"). Never reuse an important password. Turn on two-factor authentication so a stolen password alone is not enough. And no legitimate organisation ever asks for your password — anyone who does is attacking you.
You post a photo. Copy 1 is on your phone. Copy 2 is on the service's servers, and in their backups. Copies 3 to 30 are on the phones of everyone who saved it. Copy 31 might be in a web archive. Now press delete: that removes ONE of them from public view. This is why the decision that matters is the one before posting, which is the only moment you fully control.
