Many prophets, one message
Muslims believe Allah sent prophets to every people. The Quran names 25, including Adam, Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad ﷺ. They came at different times to different places, and they all taught the same central thing: worship Allah alone.
Ibrahim and the idols
Ibrahim grew up among people who worshipped statues they had carved themselves. He asked them a simple question they could not answer: why worship something you made with your own hands? He was thrown into a fire for it and Allah saved him. His story is about courage to ask the obvious question.
Why we learn them
The Quran tells these stories not as history lessons but as examples: Nuh's patience over long years, Yusuf forgiving his brothers, Musa asking Allah for courage before facing Pharaoh. When we meet the same situations in smaller form, we already have a picture of what to do.
NUH called his people for many years and few listened. IBRAHIM asked his people why they worshipped what they had carved themselves. MUSA was sent to Pharaoh, who claimed lordship. ISA was sent to the Children of Israel. MUHAMMAD ﷺ was sent to all people. Different times, different places, different tests — and every one of them said the same thing: worship Allah alone.
