Prophet Isa (Jesus)

Isa (Jesus) is the Messiah, the son of Maryam—honoured in this world and the Hereafter. Allah created him in her womb by His command, without a father; he spoke from the cradle: "I am the servant of Allah; He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet." He was given the Injeel (Gospel) and performed miracles by Allah's permission—healing the blind and the leper, raising the dead, and making from clay a bird that flew. He had helpers (hawariyyun); when they asked for a table spread from heaven, Allah sent it. The Quran states that they did not kill him nor crucify him; rather it was made to appear to them, and Allah raised him to Himself. His likeness before Allah is as the likeness of Adam: He created him from dust, then said "Be" and he was. He will return before the Day of Judgement. Islam honours him as a great prophet and rejects that he is God or the son of God.
