Aurangzeb Alamgir rules the Mughal Empire at its greatest territorial extent. He is the most devout of all Mughal emperors — refusing music, art, and wine, personally sewing the Quran to earn halal income. He compiled the Fatawa Alamgiri — the most comprehensive codification of Hanafi fiqh ever produced.
