Battle of the Trench (Khandaq)

A confederation of 10,000 Arab and Jewish tribes marches on Madinah. On the advice of Salman al-Farsi (RA), the Muslims dig a trench (khandaq) around the exposed northern side of Madinah — an unprecedented Arabian tactic. The siege fails after two weeks; the Prophet ﷺ declares it a victory for Islam.
