Migration to Abyssinia (First Hijra)

As persecution intensifies in Makkah, the Prophet ﷺ permits a group of Muslims to migrate to Christian Abyssinia (modern Ethiopia) under the protection of the just king, Negus Ashama ibn Abjar. This marks the first Islamic migration for religious freedom.
