Praying in the Quran’s own words: the rabbana duas

Du'a & Dhikr · a self-paced course lesson

Scattered through the Quran are duas Allah Himself relates — which means He taught us what to ask and how. The most carried: rabbana atina fi-d-dunya hasanah wa fi-l-akhirati hasanah wa qina adhaban-nar (2:201) — our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and shield us from the Fire. The Prophet ﷺ used it constantly. One sentence, both worlds, and protection — a complete theology of asking.
