Prophet Nuh (Noah)

Nuh (Noah) is the first messenger (rasul) sent to mankind. His people had fallen into idol worship—statues named Wadd, Suwa', Yaghuth, Ya'uq and Nasr—and refused to believe despite his call for nine hundred and fifty years. Allah commanded him to build the Ark; when the Flood came, only he and the believers were saved, along with pairs of every creature. His son who refused to board was among the drowned. The Ark rested on Mount Judi; Nuh and his followers repopulated the earth. On his deathbed he charged his sons to worship Allah alone and to avoid shirk and pride.
