Who he was
Muhammad ﷺ was a man Allah chose to teach people about Him. He lived a long time ago in a city called Makkah. He was known as truthful and trustworthy even before people followed him — that was his nickname: Al-Ameen, the trustworthy one.
The words after his name
When Muslims say his name, they add "sallallahu alayhi wa sallam" — peace and blessings be upon him. It is often written as ﷺ. It is a way of showing love and respect. Practise saying it after his name today.
One kind thing
He was gentle with children. He would greet them, play with them, and shorten his prayer if he heard a baby crying so the mother would not worry. When we are asked to be kind to little ones, we are following him, not just being told to behave.
Whenever you say or hear his name, add ﷺ — ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam, 'may Allah bless him and grant him peace'. That is what you say for a prophet you love and follow. It is not what you say to Allah, and it is not worship. Now name one thing he did that you could do this week: he smiled at people, he kept his promises, he was gentle with animals. Pick one and do it.
