Belief in Allah; in the angels; in the revealed books; in the messengers; in the Last Day; and in divine decree. That is the content. Everything else in creed — the technical vocabulary, the historical disputes between schools of theology — is commentary on these six, and an adult can hold them soundly without ever learning that vocabulary.
