How Arabic reading actually works

Arabic reading is a system, not a list of memorised words: 28 letters, three short-vowel marks, a stop mark, and joining rules. Master those and every word in the mushaf becomes readable, because the mushaf you will read is fully pointed — every vowel is written for you. This is why an adult starting from zero can genuinely read within weeks: the system is small; only the practice is long.
