Prophet Shia (Isaiah)
8th–7th century BCE (Kingdom of Judah; traditional identification with Isaiah).
Shia (Isaiah) ibn Amoz appeared before Zakariyah and Yahya and is among those who prophesied about Isa and Muhammad. The king during his time was Hezekiah (Hazkia), who listened and was obedient to him. When Hezekiah was sick with an infected foot, King Sennacherib of Babylon advanced with sixty thousand men. Isaiah received revelation that the king should appoint a successor; Hezekiah turned to the qibla, prayed and wept. Allah answered: He would extend his life fifteen years and save him from the enemy. Isaiah was told to have the king apply the water of the fig to his sore, and he was cured. Allah then sent death upon Sennacherib's army; in the morning they were all corpses except Sennacherib and five companions (among them Nebuchadnezzar). They were shackled seventy days then sent back to warn their people. When Hezekiah died, the Israelites' condition deteriorated; they decided to kill Isaiah. It was said he entered a tree, Satan held his garment loop, they sawed the tree and him with it.

Hezekiah turned to the qibla, prayed, glorified Allah and wept: "O Lord of lords, remember me for my deeds and my just judgment." Allah had compassion and revealed to Isaiah glad tidings: He would extend his life fifteen years and save him from the enemy. Allah then revealed to Isaiah to command the king to extract the water of the fig and apply it to his sore; he did so and was cured.
